Second Life Romance: Another Fine Dump in Second Life!
Well now, according to my calendar, today I am not supposed to write about Second Life Romance, but about SL Drama. I keep a loose calendar of "suggested topics" for the blog. I am always free to write about something else as I desire...the blog may be my Mistress, but hey, she is "kept" by ME. So sometimes I rise up and rattle my chains at her and tell her....."Bthhhttttttt" *tongue sound here*....."I don't care how loud you crack that whip of yours, Mistress Blog! Today I am writing about what I want to write about....so THERE. Bthhhhhttt." So I am supposed to write about sl drama....but I don't really want to; I've been through soooo much of it lately. Regular readers know that I was unceremoniously dumped by my sl gf/partner--Miss XYZ--less than two weeks ago. I still hurt from that one. When someone sticks a knife in your gut, it is hard to forget. And when they stick it in your gut, twist the knife back and forth and shove it up behind your rib cage to pierce your heart, well, then it reeeaaaallllly hurts and takes a leeettle bit longer to recover. But hey, we have all been there in sl, haven't we? I've commented in the past, that the people to stay away from in Second Life ® are those that have statements in their profile like "No drama wanted!" or "Take your dramarama somewhere else!" People who have those kind of statements invariably turn out to be Drama Queens or Drama Kings. They CREATE the drama they profess to hate. Knowing that, I was rather disturbed by the email address of this last gf; "Miss XYZ." I won't tell you her correct email address for reasons of privacy...but the first part of it was pretty close to this: nomoredamnsldramaforme@xxxxxxx.com Right then and there I should have seen "the handwriting on the wall." It truly was a prophetic moment, a portend of things to come. For those of you who are not readers of the "old testament" in the Bible, let me explain that phrase, "the handwriting on the wall." It seems a certain king was having a big orgy in his castle, and the Big Guy upstairs was not pleased. So BG sent a disembodied hand to write a phrase on the wall in the middle of the big Org. Nobody could read it, and it seems the guests were a bit upset. They called in the local prophet, and he translated for the king "You have been tried in the balances, and found wanting." The next day the king lost his kingdom. This is the Marco paraphrase. So I should have figured things out when I saw that her email spelled "no-more-damn-sl-drama-for-me." I should have realized right then and there that "I had been tried in the balances and found wanting." Because soon after, my little "love empire" with Miss XYZ collapsed in ruins around me. I really thought I loved her, but in looking back, I can see that our little "romance" was really a roller coaster ride of ups and downs and spats and arguments and slammed doors. We had several major fights. I actually kicked her out of the house once, running around "returning" her stuff to her. A few days later she was back. This time we tried again to make a home together, but it was not to be. There was too much hurt and drama between us. In fairness to her, I have to say it was not all her fault. Not by a long shot. I am somewhat known for being a "Drama King" myself. "Ha Miss XYZ...shut yo mouth!" I hear you chuckling. Sooooo, it is over with Miss XYZ and I am slowly healing. But I'm not in the dumps, not really. Rather, I am caught up in the glow of a New Love in SL. "WHAT??? ANOTHER??? SO SOON?" I know, I know, I said the same thing to myself. When this new love came along, I was reluctant to trust in it. "It is just a rebound relationship." I told myself..."Be careful!" But how can you be careful when you just want to take that special someone in your arms and cradle them, and rock together for like ....forever? They make you feel so good to just be alive again. You want to weep on their shoulder. You want to be there for them and just sweep the past aside. They make you feel sooooo goood, and they bring healing to your soul. And that is where I am. Scared to go forward, but scared to stay where I am. But I think she is a verrrrry good woman. :) But durn it I have had just too much drama lately. I am sick of it. So I am not going to write about Miss XYZ at all. I am not going to write about my new girl, so you can just fah-ged-aboud-it.
