Lalita Gives Her "Two Cents" on Why Do Men POOF?
by Lalita

I personally find the 'poof' immediately after slex to be particularly interesting. The scenario is like this...You've had a pretty good time together, things got steamy...he tells you it was great then moves you into a cuddle pose. You think, "Oh..he's a romantic. Perfect!" Then...wait for it.....POOF! There he was gone! The next day when you log on you get an apologetic excuse such as, "I'm sorry but someone came to the door." or "I had to go...sorry." He's smart enough to know he has to cover his bases in case he wants to do you again but what he doesn't realize is that we woman are just a tad smarter than that! I personally enjoy the sting. You know, where you agree to get together and do the poofing yourself but instead of waiting until AFTER you poof in the middle!!! Timing is everything!!

My god woman (to Anonymous with the worst poofer her entire SL), did it really take you three weeks? XD *nudge, nudge*
And Odette, you might want to check your guy's age verification status, hehe.
Poofing really doesn't bother me... mostly. I've fessed to many a fake-crashes in my time, but do try to show the courtesy of a speedy "going to log, bye for now," when feeling the need for a quick escape.
When friends *poof* on me, I have more of a "shrug" reaction... he/she must have something on his/her mind, or is too tired to muster a tidings. Or sometimes you do crash right before announcing your departure... now that one's a bitch. In those cases I'll only only relog half the time simply to say I'm going XD
I do have this one guy friend though who drives me crazy with his *poofs* on a regular basis. If we're hanging out one-on-one, he'll say goodnight, but if in a group, no matter how many hours he's been there (contributing a normal convo. unlike *cough* "I'm bored" *cough*), it's well... *poof.* Navy guy, what can you do? It's part of his personality. *shrug*
And Invisible Magic, sometimes someone appearing invisible is just an SL glitch, so try not to take it too personally :P If it's a real friend, he/she wouldn't set him/herself invisible to you; if not, why should you care? :D
Oh and Marco, I do enjoy reading your blogs but as sometimes there's a large gap in time from when I last read them, I found the "sort by date" feature on the previous site very useful... is that going to be added here... or has it been already and I just missed it?

Solution.... from Elke on what to do when your guy "POOFS"
by Elke
Be married to the guy in RL. If the sucker poofs on you, swivel your chair around and smack him one in the shoulder. Works great! lol

Dealt with this darn POOFING thang...

A year ago or so, I had a boyfriend off of SL that did this exact thing in another game and MSN. His excuses were always his internet dying, but I did some looking of my own and found out he had like 2 or 3 different girlfriends on SL. Thats what brought me to SL in the first place LOL. I managed to confront him on this ...with his random poofing between sessions. I dont trust him anymore, he thought I was stupid and now he regrets it LOL!! Girls, guys poof for a reason, if they do this constantly and you don't know them IRL, its a hint. Trust me XD
